Metaverse Wire

The Metaverse Wire aims to be a different type of news site for the Metaverse.  Most current new sources that cover virtual worlds such as Second Life, tend to be very opinionated, unsearchable, and do not cover most of the happenings from big to small in Second Life.  While the news serves the community, so much gets lost in the process.  As well most newsworthy announcements are made through notecards, groups and other means of communication but don’t bubble upwards.  Press releases get lost in a sea of blog postings, discussions and other items on aggregated feeds.  And aggregated feeds tend not to be completely searchable.

The Metaverse Wire will aim to change some of these things when as it pertains to the news.  This will be done by tapping into those other means of communication and having direct conversations with the newsmakers regardless of how big, small, independent they are.  Submitted content, such as store openings, event happenings, new releases, press releases, and the like will be a very important source of news for the Wire.  There are a lot of people on the ground level who are doing things, who wish to have their stories heard.  The Metaverse Wire will give those individuals that change.

The aim is to be a news source, a stream of events, stories and items happening throughout the Metaverse.

The Metaverse Wire will focus its coverage with Second Life (TM).  There may be possible expansion in the future (but not near future).
